Hinojuku Main Camp will be decorated with Hina Dolls

The Hinojuku Honjin is holding its annual "Ohinasama wo Adore Hina Dolls" event, displaying a variety of hina dolls and hangings, until March 9(日).

At Hinojyuku Honjin, decorations are displayed at various times of the year in connection with annual events called "Go-Sekku" （ New Year, Peach Festival, Boys' Festival, Star Festival, and Chou-you Festival ）. Among these events, the "Hina-sama wo Aisareta Kai" (a party to admire the dolls) associated with Momo-no Sekku (Peach Festival) is the most spectacular event.

For the decorations, we ask Ms. Hisako Edagawa, an instructor of room rituals, to produce them, and we also ask the "Old Cloth Play: Hiro no Kai", a creative group using old cloths in the city, to display their hanging dolls.

In addition, the Hino Library, the Central Community Center, and the Hino Yado Exchange Center, all located in the Hino Yado district, are decorating the Hino Yado district with hanging dolls and other decorations made by citizens in an effort to revitalize the district.

The venue, Hinojuku Honjin, was built in the Edo period （ in the first year of the Genji era ＝ in 1864 ） and is the only remaining honjin architecture in Tokyo. At the current "Admire the Hina Dolls" exhibition, KOKIN-Hina dolls from the Meiji period, Hina dolls from the Taisho ・ and early Showa period ・, Hina doll tools, clay dolls, and other colorful Hina dolls are displayed along with room decorations （ ） associated with the Hinamatsuri.

Please enjoy the collaboration between the historical atmosphere of the building and the gorgeous Hina dolls.
